JOHNSTOWN, CO – The Candlelight Dinner Playhouse will be holding auditions for the regional premiere of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang on March 23 – 25th, 2015.
Needed: Men and Women aged 20 to 70 years old, 1 boy (8 – 11) and 1 girl (8 – 12). Also needed children’s ensemble: 3 girls and 2 boys. All roles are open.
Auditions will held at Candlelight Dinner Playhouse on March 23rd, beginning at 3:00p.m., then in Denver at the John Hand Theater (7653 East 1st Place) on March 24th, starting at 3p.m. Callbacks will be held at the Candlelight Dinner Playhouse on March 25th, beginning at 6:00p.m.
Those auditioning must prepare 16 -32 measures of a musical theater piece, and can include music from the show. Also be prepared with a 1 minute monologue. Bring sheet music in the appropriate key and mark where to start and end. An accompanist will be provided. No recorded accompaniment or a cappella rendition is allowed. This production is directed by Pat Payne.
The show runs July 23 to September 13, 2015. Rehearsals begin approximately June 23, 2015.
All roles are professional, non-Equity. All roles are paid.
