Lesher's 8th grade Inquiry class allows students the opportunity to create a project of their choosing over second and third quarter. The student works with a mentor who has expertise in the field. That’s where we need volunteers.  Would you be interested in meeting 8 times over the next several months to help guide and instruct a student with his/her project? Students have expressed interest in the following projects: Film making, computer programming, computer engineering, airbrush painting, silk screen printing, block printing, wig-making & hair special effects, international cooking.
If you are interested, please contact Beth Wilms at bwilms@psdschools.org

Get your Donut on....

Backstage magazine said ‘Superior Donuts’ is “. . . as fresh and tasty as a doughnut right out of the oven.” And now audience can put that to the test! OpenStage Theatre has partnered with LaMar’s Donuts to serve donuts at all performances.
‘Superior Donuts’ is a story about a burned out draft evader and his motley crew. The cast is made up of dreamers, bag ladies, Trek nerds, Russian Immigrants and south side bookies. . . a recipe for a great show!
From the Pulitzer-Prize winning author of August: Osage County, Tracy Letts, comes a sticky and sweet comedy about a has-been hippie in a decrepit Chicago donut shop and his ragtag band of regulars. When Franco, a fresh, fast-talking and ambitious new employee, folds himself into the mix, the smell of change invades the rundown storefront. Inspired youth and stubborn tradition, sprinkled with soul and hardy humor, bake up a delectable confection in this warm-hearted tale.

Bas Bleu presents "A Tuna Christmas"

“A Tuna Christmas” takes place in fictitious Tuna, Texas. How can only two actors make fun of such a big state? Quite easily. First, it’s an easy target and secondly, they each play 10 different male and female characters ranging from radio announcers to pre-teens to elderly aunties to a
middle-aged woman who owns the local used weapons store. As they say in Texas, “It’s a hoot!” .

For more information visit the Bas Blue website

Help Support Books for Africa

Come join us Tuesday November 10 from 4 to 10 at Texas Roadhouse (4633 S Timberline Rd, Fort Collins, Colorado 80528)! There are many learners in the school, but the library has very few books in it. Natalie Dollison has been collecting books with the help from friends and businesses to donate to Tharollo Combined School which is a K-12 school in Qwa Qwa, South Africa. She has already been abe to ship some of them, but there is still not enough money to send all of the books over.

If you come to Texas Roadhouse, 20% of your purchase will go to shipping the books! The CSU Art and Art History Department is sponsoring the event, and all the money earned will go to the shipping costs.

Help us get books to learners across the world who need them!  For more info visit the event Facebook page

Lost and Found Spaces

The Lincoln Center Gallery will feature three talented artists in an exhibition of Lost and Found Spaces running November 20th through January 9th. This small group exhibition explores and interprets spaces that exist in the artists' imaginations.

Joomi Chung’s (Oxford, OH) small and intimate gouache map-like paintings are a fun contrast to the large scale collaged photographs by Chung Chak (Bensalem, PA), and even larger wooden constructions of Dave Rowe (Las Vegas, NV). The artists have created imagined spaces based on remembered, or actual, present and historic locations. As a result, the artworks are infused with visceral and psychological experiences as interpreted by the artists. The images are provocative, colorful and intriguing.

The exhibition opens with a reception on Friday, November 20th and runs through January 9th, 2016. Gallery Hours are Tuesdays–Saturdays, 12–6 p.m. and most evenings during theatre performances. Admission is always free.

Nutcracker Tea

Canyon Concert Ballet is excited to bring back the very popular Nutcracker Tea. This year you will enjoy a "high tea" catered by Fiona's Delicatessen and Catering with many scrumptious treats to satisfy any age.  A parade of characters will visit as well as Clara and the Prince.  Take a photo with Clara and the Prince to remember a traditional experience many look forward to each year,
The Nutcracker.  Make a special craft, a snowman ornament, while visiting with friends and enjoying treats.  Little girls will leave with a glittery tiara they will love and little boys will treasure their Nutcracker ornament for years to come.  We hope you will join us for a magical experience before or after an amazing performance of Canyon Concert Ballet's The Nutcracker!

Call now 970.221.6730 or visit

'Our Town" at Fossil Ridge High School

“Do any human beings ever realize life while they live it? – every, every minute?” Emily asks as she looks back.

Emily is from a small town where the most exciting news is the hometown baseball team.  She walks home from school to do her homework and she drinks ice cream sodas with friends. Hers is a simple life with a simple story.  She has grown up, fallen in love, and started a family.  And yet, she wonders, did she take the time while she was living to celebrate the joys in small every day moments?  If she had the chance to go back and live it again, could she hold onto the beauty of cup of coffee?  Could she savor a morning conversation with her mother?  Could she fall deeper in love?

If we had the chance to go back and live our lives again, could we?

Join us for a timeless American classic, Thornton Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize- Winning Drama Our Town.  Its message about love and life and death helps us remember who we are and what matters most.   Minimalist sets and props allow us to imagine ourselves in the story.  Connect with people you love and celebrate the joys in everyday moments at:
