Garden of Lights flips the switch on the holiday season this Friday, December 5 at 5 p.m. Mayor Karen Weitkunat will flip the switch on our 10th anniversary Coneflower Trio sculpture created by Josh Jones of Gallegos Sanitation, ushering in another year of Garden of Lights! Poudre Jazz Band will perform 5-7 p.m. Friday, and Foothills Madrigal Singers will be the entertainers this Saturday from 6-8 p.m. Santa Claus (Sat-Sun), the Sugarplum Canine Troupe (Sat), hot mulled cider, and kids fun winter crafts (Fri) all return for another fun-filled holiday month at The Gardens.

*NEW THIS YEAR* – A special sculpture installation created by Josh Jones of Gallegos Sanitation will be unveiled on opening night to celebrate The Gardens’ 10th anniversary and its commemorative flower, the Purple Coneflower. The Coneflower Trio was designed to mimic a trio of coneflowers with exaggerated features such as its dome like central cone, angular petals and large, open leaves. All materials were100% recycled steel, with over 90% from Foothills Fashion Mall, consisting of steel re-bar (stems and flower head base), ducting and flashing (petals and leaves), 10% scrap steel from GSI, consisting of 1/4" round bar (cone) and poly cart trash can axles (grass stakes).
Garden of Lights is December 5 through January 4 from 5-9 p.m. every evening, including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. A $2 per person donation is recommended. Visit our website for a complete schedule of weekend entertainment.
