Call for Red Art

Artists are invited to submit work for the "Red" exhibition at Lola's Fresh Patina Gallery, being held Feb. 13 - March 6. The exhibit will be a unique celebration of the color Red. Artwork must be created in 50% shades of Red, 16" x 24" being the largest accepted size. Deadline Jan. 23 Notification Jan. 30, all pieces should be dropped off Thursday Feb. 5 thru Saturday Feb. 7 between 12:00-5:00 pm at Lola's. Seeing Red? Red is hot. Strong. Emotional. Passionate. Red is Cupid and the Devil. Red is the hottest of the warm colors. Flashing red lights denote danger. In some cultures, red denotes purity, joy, and celebration. Red is the color of happiness and prosperity in China and may be used to attract good luck. Red is my favorite color. Oh, and Red as in Ruby Red Slippers, also a personal love.
