Connecting Community: Common Threads

The Fiber Design class in the School of Art and Design at The University of Northern Colorado cordially invites you to come for cider and to see the installation of scarves they will be presenting at the Rodarte Community Center’s annual Christmas party on Saturday, December 13 from 10 am-2 pm to benefit the Greeley community.
The students would also like to welcome you to see their project and share in celebrating their collaborative accomplishment on Friday, December 12, in the Fibers Studio (Crabbe Hall 206) between 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Please come check out the work of these dedicated student.
Students have been knitting and crocheting over 100 scarves for the event. They’ve created a logo to print on individual tags with information about their project and who created the scarves. Additionally, they have built a “tree” to hang the scarves before they are to be given away to local families during the Christmas Party.
Being a big-hearted group, the students have envisioned a way to support our local community, particularly those in need of warmth during the holiday season.
