Is Streetmosphere worth investing $22,822?

I think it is.  The city is leaning towards not investing in Streetmosphere.  Interesting, since so many people think Streeetmosphere is a CITY PROGRAM.  It is not.  Streetmosphere has been funded by selling ads to Downtown businesses and crowd sourced donations.  In the past, the city has done very little to make Streetmosphere happen.  This year, they are asking for help.   Beet Street is asking the City to provide $22,822 for the presentation of Arts programming on the streets of Fort Collins throughout the Summer. ( for perspective, the current budget for landscaping around the 'new' Mulberry bridge is  $750,000).  Without this money, Streetmosphere's future is bleak.  Make up your own mind by visiting the City Budgets for Outcomes page and read about the request for funding Offer 143.1 ENHANCEMENT: Streetmosphere.  If you think $22,822 is a small price for the City of Fort Collins to pay for such a great community Arts program,  write the city council and the city manager at cityleaders@fcgov.com. There will also be a Public Hearing for Budget related items on October 7th at 6pm at City Hall.
