Marketing Internship
5-10 hours of week
Five months, with possibility for renewal
Samba Colorado dance company offers exciting and challenging internship opportunities for college and graduate students seeking experience in administration, artistic administration, videography, development, and marketing. Along with duties listed below, the intern will meet with director and resident assistant once per week. Internship is a non-paying position and hours are negotiable. The intern will receive weekly dance training, mentorship, and experience working in the dance and performance professions.
Social Media Manager
• Facebook
Manage Samba Colorado Page, post weekly updates/sharing/photos/flyers
Administer Samba Colorado FB Group - create samba outings, post
upcoming events/classes
Post once a week in different FB groups
Youtube: Upload and manage videos, share videos on other social media sites!
Instagram and Tumblr: Upload and manage photos, Share videos on other social media sites!
Twitter: Create and manage Samba Colorado Twitter account
Research
• Research and apply to festivals for Samba Colorado to perform!
• Connect with community organizations for collaborations and partnerships!
• Research potential sponsors
• Research potential clients & venues for Brazilian dance shows
• Research additional websites and networks to feature the company
• Contact press outlets for news and feature stories/segments on the company
Distribute!
• Flyers at local coffee shops, dance studios, event centers (Boulder and Denver)
• Include Samba Colorado in listings for dance/event websites (Boulder and Denver)
