The exhibit Aria, a melody in opera, is a symphony of 8 women artists exhibiting a range of contemporary work - painting, installation, photography, sculpture, and video. Each artists' artwork is connected through the visual element of line...lines making shapes...shapes coming together to make blades of grass, cells, water, portraits and figures.
Artists in the exhibit are Carrie Johansing, Nanci Erskine, Abbie R Powers, Monica Deming, Angela Canada Hopkins, Megan Tracy, and poetry by Veronica Patterson.
There are two more opportunities to see the exhibit, Friday, Oct. 10, 6-9 PM and an artist reception Friday, Oct. 24, 6:30 - 8:30 PM with poetry and a discussion with the artists. The exhibit runs through October 31, 2014.
