The drawings in this exhibition reference a broad spectrum of approaches and issues, be they personal or political, social or environmental. This show asks the question 'what is a drawing?' further expanding the dialogue and debate that is so pervasive in redefining the current state of contemporary drawing practice.
Mary-Ann Kokoska has exhibited her work nationally and internationally in commercial and public galleries. Her work can also be found in corporate, private and public museum collections.
Ms. Kokoska is also the recipient of awards from the Canada Council, The Ontario Arts Council and Colorado State University where she is currently Associate Professor in Drawing.
