OVER 220 ARTISTS APPLY TO MASKS 2016 PROJECT AT FORT COLLINS MUSEUM OF ART

Last week, the Fort Collins Museum of Art received over 220 Mask artist applications to participate in next year’s 2016 Masks exhibition. The project attracts both professional and recreational artists. This year the Museum had an exceptionally successful call for artists, receiving over 220 applications. Over the next few months, selected artists will create their own original art on a provided ceramic mask form. The result will be an exhibition of 175 pieces of unconventional and creative art. The 2016 Masks exhibition will be on view from April 1 – May 6, 2016 and will be available for purchase by a month-long silent auction. This annual exhibition provides a significant portion of the Museum’s operating budget as well as an engaging community art event.
“We are excited to begin the Masks project for 2016 and we are looking forward to seeing what fun ideas our artists come up with this year. We are anticipating another stellar year of incredible creativity.” says Executive Director Lisa Hatchadoorian.
