"Burn This" This weekend

PopUp Theatre will debut their “very human” romantic comedy "Burn This" by Lanford Wilson on September 11. The New York-set play will feature Corrine Wieben as lead Anna accompanied by actors Kiernan Angley, Will Ferrie and Heath Howes. The Tony Award-winning play debuted in 1987 to critical praise and featured young actors Joan Allen and John Malkovich. Artistic Director, Christopher Huelshorst offers, “Themes in this play are all about love and loss, as we watch choreographer Anna negotiate between new love, old love and lost love. PopUp will bring "Burn This" into present day and ticket holders will experience the production up close and personal as they share the space with the actors in this immersive staging. A new element will be added with original music of singer-songwriter Nancy Just. The show opens September 11 thru September 19 at the Community Creative Center (also know as the Carnegie Building) in Old Town.
