RIO CARNIVAL in "The Happiest City in the World is a colorful extravaganza, attracting visitors from everywhere!!! This year's nonstop merriment is February 13-17!!! There will be spectacular parades, incredible dancers, glittering costumes, amazing choreography, astounding floats, and irresistible music!
If you aren't going to Brazil this week, however, we invite you to stop in at Jay's Bistro for exceptional music!!! This Thursday evening, February 12th, come celebrate Carnival Eve with us, beginning with solo Jazz piano by Mark Sloniker at 6:30 p.m., joined shortly by Patrick Atwater on amazing bass, how sweet the sound!!! A little after 8:30, there will be a cameo of Brazilian music in happy anticipation of Carnival, featuring beautiful Brazilian guitar of Monty Hogan and flute and vocals by Judi Lucero! Close your eyes and let us take you away with a taste of the music of Rio de Janeiro... There will be other delightful music as well until around 10:30!!!
