Job Openings at the Lincoln Center

The Lincoln Center Visual Arts program is hiring Exhibit Workers to help install artwork for exhibitions in the Lincoln Center Art Gallery and the Community Creative Center. Under the general direction of the Gallery Coordinator and the Visual Arts Administrator, the Exhibit Worker is responsible for the installation and maintenance of Art Gallery exhibitions and general assistance with Visual Arts programs. The position is for a part-time hourly job with intermittent work – typically 15-30 hours/week once every 5-7 weeks, with a range of $9-$11/hr. 
Knowledge, skills and abilities for the position include: familiarity with the care and handling of artifacts and artworks; knowledge of media, methods, and materials used in exhibition construction and display; basic carpentry skills and proficiency with hand tools, and basic power tools; knowledge of basic paint, adhesives, finishes, and applicable safety practices; knowledge of digital media/audio-video equipment; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers; ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; ability to keep and maintain accurate records.
Education and Experience required: Associate's degree, with focus on fine arts, design, history, museum studies, or construction, plus one year of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience; Bachelor degree in Fine Arts, Art History or Museum Studies preferred.
