About LOT
Loveland Opera Theatre was founded in 2005 by Dr. Juliana Bishop Hoch, for the purpose of “bringing opera to the hearts and minds of all”. LOT is a 501c3 not-for-profit opera company based in Loveland, Colorado. Dr. Hoch founded LOT to give opportunities to many talented “community” singers and “emerging young artists” in Colorado needing a venue in which to perform. LOT has provided a nurturing environment in which these local talents could learn and grow and bring the performing arts to the community of Northern Colorado.
Education of children is near and dear to the heart of Loveland Opera Theatre. For the past nine years, LOT has produced “What Is Opera?” for elementary school-aged children. LOT has also added Kids programs in our major Spring productions, geared toward teaching kids and families about Opera and theater production.
General Purpose:The Administrative Assistant will perform a wide range of administrative and office support activities for the company. This position serves as a key point of contact for members in a professional, courteous and helpful manner at various events and through a variety of media, including the association’s website, email, and social media platforms. This position also includes fundraising and banking duties, payroll, some taxes, donor and volunteer management, event coordination, detail oriented record keeping as well as some marketing development.
Experience providing confidential administrative support in a high-profile environment with tact and diplomacy is preferred. A proven ability to work across a variety of projects, a proactive personality who is able to initiate needed tasks and the ability to work in a changing environment is needed. Demonstrated interest in working in a non-profit environment and theater environments is preferred.

-QuickBooks is preferred, although can be taught.

-Social media including Facebook and Twitter are essential
-Comfortable in theater environment
-Work independently
-Opera and Theater knowledge is a plus
-Ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and monitor own work to ensure quality
