Panel Discussion: Planning an Exhibit

About the event:
On Thursday, September 22nd, Artworks is holding a discussion with experts about how to plan your art exhibition. The evening will include a Q & A and a casual discussion with a panel of artists and experts.

Some points that will be covered:
- the process of curating artwork
- building a portfolio that appeals to jurors
- reasons why artists should enter a juried, group, or solo show
- reasons applications not accepted
- other helpful tips for artists preparing for gallery exhibits

Panel experts include:
- Johnny Plastini, Art Professor, Colorado State University
- Maureen Corey, Loveland Museum/Gallery Curator
- Joanne Kirves, Executive Director, Longmont Arts
- Dr. Andrew Svedlow, Art Professor, University of Northern Colorado
- Wesley Jessup, Director, Longmont Museum

This event is free and open to the public.
