The Opening Reception for Latino Expressions takes place Friday,
January 15, 5–7 p.m. Awards Judge, Carlos Fresquez, will make the Awards
Announcements at 6 p.m.
Eleven Colorado artists share their views into Latino culture, history and values with artworks in many different media. From beautifully carved Santos by Carlos Santistevan to a tongue-in-cheek video mash-up by Tony Ortega that calls out various stereotypes of Latino culture, the exhibit offers work in various media including drawing, fiber art, installations, painting, photograhy, printmaking, sculpture video, and more. In addition, Awards Judge Carlos Fresquez will be exhibiting a collection of his paintings, screen prints and other mixed media artworks in the Lobby Gallery (see Fresquez's image below).

On view through February 27, the exhibit is open Tuesdays through Saturdays, noon to 6pm. Admission is always free.
